New Book: Sound and Safe
The monograph Sound and Safe: A History of Listening Behind the Wheel was recently published by Oxford University Press. The book has emerged from the research on the NWO-funded project “Selling Sound: The Standardization of Sound in the European Car Industry and the Hidden Integration of Europe“, and two of the authors, Karin Bijsterveld and Stefan Krebs, are also involved in the Sonic Skills project.
